Karaman Bridge is a single-span, semicircular-arched stone bridge built over the Derecik Stream, which flows north from the Black Sea Mountains, near the village of Derecik to the southwest of the Akçaabat district of Trabzon. Built using infill-wall technique with finely dressed tuff stone in the arch and piers and roughly dressed basalt in the spandrel walls, the structure's arch was laid using the toothed (interlocking) coursing system widely used in the Trabzon and Gümüşhane regions.
