Editor's Note
It is located at the Hisarlık locality within the village of Büyükaltıağaç, in the Meriç district of Edirne province. The site, on the southern foot of the hill, lies in a position commanding the plain along the Dişbudak stream. The east and south sides of the hill are surrounded by fortification walls. Ceramic fragments thought to date from the Byzantine period have been found at the site. It was registered as an immovable cultural asset requiring protection (group 3) by decision no. 11123 of the Edirne Regional Directorate for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage, dated 22 September 2025.
