Editor's Note
It is located within the village of Subaşı, in the Meriç district of Edirne province. Today there is no gravestone remaining at the site. Only a single gravestone inscribed in Ottoman Turkish has been found. On the broken fragment of this gravestone, the words "beni giryan eyledi vade" ("the promise made me weep") could be read. It is thought that the remains were gathered up during cleaning work carried out in the old, fenced-off cemetery area.
