Editor's Note
The Hacı Veled Mosque was built in 1349 during the Eretna Beylik period and has undergone various repairs in different periods over time. The rectangular-plan mosque originally had an earthen-roof upper cover, which was later renewed with a reinforced-concrete roof, and a women's gallery was added to the north. The mosque is entered from the semi-open courtyard to the west. Inside, there is a concrete staircase leading up to the gallery and a gallery resting on two piers. Its mihrab is made of white and brown marble and is decorated with twisted colonnettes and a marble inscription bearing the mihrab verse.
