The Baldöktü Mansion stood in the old Lala Quarter, which today falls within the Tacettin Veli Quarter, bounded by narrow streets to the south and west and by a vegetable garden of about two dönüms to the east. Built around 1860-1870, this mansion was a noteworthy example of traditional Kayseri residential architecture, distinguished by its plan layout, use of materials, and finely crafted architectural detail. Its layout was organized around two courtyards, one facing outward and the other inward.
