Editor's Note
This domed stone building of uncertain function is seen to have still been standing in the first quarter of the 20th century. The structure stood in the İçeri Sar (Sur) neighborhood, to the northeast of the Surp Sarkis Church and to the southeast of the Church of St. Nicholas. The walls of this square-plan stone building were built of cut stone or rubble stone. Two very narrow, tall windows can be seen in its eastern stone wall. The small dome rising above sits at the center of the building, and there are vertical windows in the dome's lower section. Above the dome appears an element resembling a cross or a crescent.
