Editor's Note
The İki Kapılı Mosque (Two-Door Mosque) was a mosque in Kayseri Square that was demolished in 1977. It is not known by whom or in what year it was built. The mosque measured 15 by 13 meters and was built of cut stone and rubble stone. With two columns arranged in two rows, the mosque had an earthen roof. Its mihrab was in the form of a simple niche, and its minbar was of wood. In tax register no. 182 it is recorded as owning a shop each in the Hocaefendi Bazaar and the Gön Market. It was demolished in 1977 to make way for the Bürüngüz Mosque.
