It is not known for certain when Kuşçu Village was founded; however, the old cemeteries nearby suggest that this may be a very ancient settlement. The cemeteries at Boyun Harman, the graves unearthed while digging house foundations around Külbağ, Tömbek Tepe, and Kepir, and the pottery shards, graves, beads, and objects found in Dolay Mahalle all point to the village's historical depth. It is unknown to whom or to what period the graves plundered by treasure hunters at the Küçük Dede and Pilitli Dede sites belonged.
