Editor's Note
The Kalaycıoğlu Mosque is dated to the 18th century based on its architectural features. This small neighborhood mosque has a modest rectangular plan, with a prayer hall running north to south, a narthex (last-congregation area) to the north, and a small courtyard. Built of rubble stone, the building uses a limited amount of cut stone at its corners, and over time its roof was covered with a flat concrete slab. The courtyard is enclosed by stone walls about three meters high. To the northwest of the courtyard stands a cut-stone pavilion-type minaret reached by nine steps.
