Editor's Note
Although the fountain's historical period is not known for certain, it is estimated to be an 18th-century neighborhood fountain. As part of restoration work begun by the Melikgazi Municipality in 2015, the fountain and the surrounding park area were comprehensively renovated and reopened to service with a ceremony held on 14 July 2018.
