Kabasakal Mosque was built in the late 18th to early 19th century. Although it has no inscription, a metal plaque placed on the northern facade of the portico states it was built in the 19th century, though it is accepted that the building may date back further. Architecturally, the mosque had a rectangular plan running north-south. The portico (last congregation area) on the north of the prayer hall rested on wooden beams laid east-west over two wooden columns and was covered with a flat earthen roof.
