The remains of the Taşlıburun Tower are considered part of the fortification system surrounding the ancient city of Eusebeia (present-day Kayseri Eski Şehir), located on the northern foothills of Mount Erciyes. Situated at the northern end of Beştepeler, this tower's connection to the city wall remains stretching northward can still be observed. These walls were positioned to watch over and control the western parts of the Kayseri Plain. According to historical data, construction of these defensive structures began toward the end of the first century and continued over several centuries.
