According to the inscription on the upper floor of the front facade of the Erkilet Police Station, the building was constructed in 1935; however, the fact that the ground floor is of rubble stone and the upper floor of cut stone suggests the lower floor may have been built at an earlier date. The station was responsible for maintaining public order in the surrounding villages and responding to security incidents. While the ground floor was used as the police station, the upper floor served as the unit where civil registry affairs were handled. In the 1990s, police services moved to another building, and this structure was abandoned.
