Editor's Note
Location: It stands in Çat village, one of the southern villages of the Çamlıhemşin district of Rize. History: No inscription concerning the mosque has been identified. However, the heritage monument record kept by the Trabzon Cultural and Natural Heritage Conservation Board in 2012 mentions two inscriptions, one above the prayer hall entrance and the other in the portico. On the basis of these inscriptions, the mosque is thought to have been first built in 1794 and then demolished and rebuilt in 1861.
