Location: It stands in Meşeköy, formerly known as Petran, in the İkizdere district of Rize. History: A Turkish information plaque above the mosque's entrance gives the date as 1916. An archival document concerning the building has also come to light: in the first record, dated 1793, İbrahim was appointed imam and preacher of the mosque, which had been built by the villagers. In short, the mosque, whose history reaches back to the 1790s, was renovated around 1916.
