Location: It stands in the Güney Neighborhood of the İkizdere district of Rize. History: The Aşağı (Lower) Mosque has three inscriptions, on its wall, on the gallery support column, and on its minbar. The text on the east wall, consisting only of a date, reads 1316/1898; the support column reads 'Owner Ali Bey'; and the minbar door reads 'Maker Halil Usta 1319/1901.' Apart from the inscriptions, there is no document concerning the building.
