This is a bridge dating to the Ottoman period. According to the Ottoman inscription on the historic arch bridge, which came to light during road works, the bridge was built in 1888 by the heirs of Zırhzade Hacı İzzet Efendi, a merchant trading in Baghdad, in accordance with his will, five years after his death.
