Klarceti Castle is an old fortress in the southwest of historic Georgia, today in the village of Klarceti in the Ardanuç district of Artvin. It stands on a rock about 700 m west of the village centre, at an altitude of 1,440 metres. The two-towered castle is thought to have held an important role in the medieval Klarceti region, which takes its name from it; the surviving remains date from the Middle Ages.
