Editor's Note
The Mikron Bridge is an arched bridge over the Fırtına stream in the Çamlıhemşin district of Rize, 2 km from the town centre. Estimated to have been built in the 19th century and 41 metres long, its piers were spaced widely to guard against flooding. The bridge, whose arch is of cut stone, was repaired in 1998 while preserving its original form.
