Location: It stands in the village of Yukarıdurak, formerly known as 'Ziğem-i Ulyâ,' in the Ardeşen district of Rize. History: There is no inscription on the mosque. Nevertheless, it has been dated to 1156/1743. It underwent more than one repair in and after 1842. According to archival records, the mosque was commissioned in 1736 by a man named Hacı Ahmed. Two further foundation (waqf) records concerning donations dated 1908 and 1912 were also found. From its old photographs, its decorative features point to the 20th century.
