Location: It stands in the Kavak Neighborhood (Mikron), one of the central neighborhoods of the Çamlıhemşin district of Rize. History: No inscription concerning the mosque has been found. According to the foundation (waqf) records, the mosque, built by the local people, was constructed around the mid-18th century. Indeed, in 1746-47 a person was appointed to serve as the mosque's preacher. Comparing its architecture and decorative features with other buildings in the region, it appears to have been renewed and dated to the 19th century.
