Location: It stands in the village of Köprübaşı (Abişho) in the Çamlıhemşin district of Rize. History: A hadith is written in three lines on the spandrels of the mosque's mihrab arch, with the date 1256/1840 noted beside the text on the right corner. It reads: 'The believer in the mosque is like the fish in water; the hypocrite in the mosque is like the bird in the cage.' Another text concerning the mosque's history is an information plaque dated 1835, written in the modern alphabet. The villagers also state that the mosque is among the earliest buildings in the region.
