Location: It stands on a sloping hillside in the Aşağı Çamlıca Neighborhood (Vilçei Süflâ) in the Çamlıhemşin district of Rize. History: The exact date the mosque was built is not known. In photographs taken before its restoration, a Turkish plaque above the entrance gives 1738 as the construction date. Beyond this, studies of the building give no precise date and, based on its general features, date it to the 19th century. On the northwest facade, a four-line inscription is carved above an ogee-arched niche.
