Location: It stands in the village of Kayabaşı in the Kalkandere district of Rize. History: No inscription that could indicate the construction date was identified on the mosque. There are two different archival records concerning Kayabaşı. The first must belong to the other building in the area. A document dated 1902, thought to belong to this building, records that Küsküoğlu Süleyman bin Çakır Abdülkerim endowed one thousand kuruş for a newly built masjid at the place called Kayabaşı, and that the annual yield of this sum was endowed to be given to the masjid's preacher.
