Editor's Note
The building stands on a north-south sloping site. Built using load-bearing masonry, its basement floor is of stone and its upper level of timber, constructed in masonry technique toward the end of the 19th century. The exterior is covered by a four-sided hipped roof clad in sheet metal. The double-balconied minaret on the east facade was built in 1980. The mihrab, minbar, and pulpit are also of wood, and rich woodwork is found throughout, including the railings of the women's gallery.
