Editor's Note
The building was constructed with corner-jointed, dovetailed (kurtboğazı) log construction, using wood as its material. Square in plan, it consists of a portico, a prayer hall, and a later-added women's gallery. The portico is open. The exterior roof is a four-sided hipped roof, with Marseille tiles as the covering material. The Kaban Mosque in the Fatih Quarter of Bölümlü, built in 1881, is a mosque of plain, functional architecture.
