The Dernekpazarı Güney Mosque sits on sloping land in Trabzon's Dernekpazarı district. Dating to 1819, the building was constructed with stone and wood, its basement of cut stone and its prayer hall built with an interlocking timber system. The rectangular mosque consists of a prayer hall, a portico, and a women's gallery. Its minbar, mihrab, and ceiling medallion feature rich woodwork. The main entrance gate on the west facade is also decorated with wood carving. The mosque's minaret was built later and stands apart from the building.
