Memişağa Mansion is a historic building in the east of Sürmene, dating back to the 1800s. During the Ottoman period, the governor of Trabzon entrusted the administration of Sürmene and its surroundings to Memiş Ağa. Memiş Ağa became prominent in the late 1700s and, in the early 1800s, was responsible for the region's security and tax collection. According to historians, Memiş Ağa, the eldest son of Hacı Yakup, carried out his duties successfully. The mansion is thought to have been built after 1834.
