Kalecik Castle is a strategic military structure in the Kalecik Quarter of Trabzon's Şalpazarı district, dating to the Late Byzantine period. Set on a hill commanding the district, it measures roughly 40 by 40 meters, of which three walls survive today. It was registered as an immovable cultural asset in 1997. Standing on a hilltop overlooking the district center in Kalecik Quarter, the castle has come down to us with only three wall remnants and is largely ruined.
