The Karaağaçlı Bridge (also known as the Zeyneloğulları Bridge) is a historic stone arch bridge built about 200 years ago along the Silk Road route in the Şalpazarı district of Trabzon. Standing over the Ağasar Stream, it is a significant piece of cultural heritage for its stonework and architecture. Now in a neglected state, there are calls to restore it faithfully to its original form and open it to tourism. Authorities are expected to take steps both to preserve this history and to contribute to the regional economy.
