Editor's Note
The mosque is located on Yusuf Dede Avenue in the Gümüşçay quarter of Eynesil district. According to the inscription above its entrance, it was built in 1904 (1320 in the Rumi calendar). The inscription above the mihrab gives the same date. The thuluth-script inscription at the entrance reads, "Peace be upon you; you have done well, so enter here to abide forever" (Surah az-Zumar, 73), dated 1320. It is understood that the building was later enlarged with various additions.
