There is no information about the construction date or patron of this building, which bears no inscription. Based on a historic gravestone uncovered during the mosque's restoration, it is concluded that construction began in the second half of the 19th century. Built in masonry, the structure has a rectangular plan running north-south. Excluding the later-added portico, it measures 21.30 × 13.10 metres. Rubble stone was used for the body walls, which are plastered over. The mosque is covered inside by a wooden ceiling and outside by a four-sided hipped roof clad in zinc sheeting.
