Editor's Note
It was built in 1413 by Yakup Paşa, one of the commanders of Çelebi Mehmet. The structure used as a mosque today is in essence a Halveti lodge, consisting of a hall, a small mosque and seclusion cells. West of the building's western entrance is a structure thought to be a tomb. The body walls are built of rubble stone with the gaps filled by red mortar, supported by horizontally laid double courses of brick. The mosque is entered through a cut-stone doorway with a large iwan. The doorway has a segmental arch. The windows that light the interior have marble frames and brick arches.
