The Yörgüç Paşa Mosque was built in Amasya in 1428 by Yörgüç Paşa. The mosque has the inverted-T plan often seen in Amasya and stands out for the use of regular cut stone and red-and-white marble in its walls. The entrance is shaped as a large iwan, adorned with an elegant arch. The mosque's portico lies within the main prayer space and is covered by a large dome. The interior opens to side sections through doors on the east and west, and these areas too are covered by domes.
