Editor's Note
It was built in 1912 by the Capuchin friars living in Giresun. Since 1967 the building has been used as a Children's Library under the Republic of Turkey's Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Constructed with the masonry building system, it was built using cut stone. Rectangular in plan and running east-west, the building stands within a walled garden. Its main entrance is on the west façade. The entrance landing, covered by a vault inside and a hipped roof in two directions outside, is reached by a five-step staircase.
