The tomb in Şıhkıran village, Piraziz district, belongs to Pir Aziz, who gave the district its name. One of the frontier lords who led the conquest of the Giresun region and a spiritual figure of the area, he is held to have been a student of Şeyh İdris and an Ahi leader. The tomb, rebuilt in cut stone in a distinctive architectural style fitting the era he lived in, stands within a historic cemetery whose entrance was given a crown gate matching the tomb, along with two fountains.
