LOCATION: The fountain stands in the village of Belsöğüt, on parcel no. 346, about 3 km from the center of Ilgaz district. DATE OF CONSTRUCTION: According to its inscription, it was built in AH 1306 / AD 1890-91. PATRON: Unknown. INSCRIPTION: Just beneath the fountain's arch is a horizontal rectangular inscription measuring 0.46 x 0.37 m. It is framed by a concave molding 0.04 m wide carved on the outside, the inside of which is formed of repeating star points in a 'V' shape. The inscription, further enclosed by stepped moldings, consists of two lines.
