The Aksemseddin Mosque, located in the center of Osmancik and built in the 15th century against the northwestern foot of the castle, lay buried for a long time until the 1960s under stone and earth that had tumbled down from the castle; once the stone, earth, and debris were cleared and the structure was brought back to light, it underwent a major restoration and was reopened for worship. The structure, set within a garden, gives the impression of an inverted 'T' plan. Small rooms with no passage to the main space have been added to the right and left of the entrance to the single-domed main hall.
