Editor's Note
Yol Izi (the Road Trace), located within the boundaries of Ardic Village between Hacihamza and Osmancik in the Kargi district of Corum, is a surviving stretch of an old caravan route that ran along the foothills of the mountains and can still be traced today. Some wall remains have also been identified along the road, and a similar route together with the ruins of a small bridge is said to exist on the opposite bank of the Kizilirmak valley. However, because that bridge has collapsed, a definitive identification could not be made, and in light of this evidence the precise dating of the route remains difficult.
