On the parcels in question there are some remains and architectural fragments belonging to a Roman-period nymphaeum displaying brickwork. Marble flooring slabs of the ancient structure lie on parcel 7. Excavations carried out in this area uncovered a brick-built cistern and marble architectural elements bearing Latin inscriptions stating that the Roman emperors Hadrian and Trajan repaired the structure; these have been moved to the İzmit Museum Directorate.
