Editor's Note
In 2016, one of the lodging houses of the Seka Paper Factory was renovated and converted into a memorial house. The Gazi Akçakoca Memorial House consists of three sections. The first section presents Akçakoca Bey and Ottoman history through written and visual sources. The second section features newspapers of the period recounting events on the Kocaeli front during the National Struggle. The third and final section is devoted to "The Symbols of Kocaeli."
