It lies within the boundaries of the Karamürsel district of Kocaeli province. It was built in the name of Sultan Abdülhamid II under the name Hamidiye by Hafız Zülkarneyn (Zorović), one of the migrants who came from Bosnia-Herzegovina at the end of the 1878 Russo-Turkish War. It was burned by the Greeks in 1921 during the War of Independence and was rebuilt after the Second World War. It was registered by decision no. 3073 of the Istanbul No. II Kocaeli Regional Council for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage, dated 27 April 1999.
