Built by the French in 1863, the Dilburnu Lighthouse stands today beside the Yalova-Altınova pier of the Osmangazi Bridge. Owned by the Coastal Safety Directorate, the lighthouse was built as a single-story masonry structure of solid brickwork. Standing 9 meters above the ground and 12 meters above the shore, it has a visibility range of 10 miles. Now out of service, the lighthouse was registered by decision no. 967 of the Kocaeli Regional Council for the Conservation of Cultural and Natural Heritage, dated 15 July 2009.
