It is located on the slopes of Kurtkuş Hill, 1.5 km southwest of Karamustafa village, which lies 1 km south of the D-100 highway between the Atkaracalar and Çerkeş districts. North of the site of the underground rock shelters lie the Ulu Çay Creek and the village road connecting the villages of Yalaközü and Bozoğlu. The underground rock dwellings were created by hollowing out a low, flat conglomerate hill. One underground rock dwelling was identified in the lower part of the rocks north of the village road facing the creek, and three more on the hill to the south.
