LOCATION: This fountain stands in the village square of Belören, about 10 km from the Ilgaz district. DATE OF CONSTRUCTION: According to the inscription on it, it was built in AH 1156 / AD 1743-44. PATRON: According to the inscription on its front, it was built by Hasan Çavuşzade Ağa Pir Mehmet. INSCRIPTION: Today the fountain bears an inscription worked into a square stone measuring 0.45 x 0.42 m using the relief-carving technique.
