INSCRIPTION: On the keystone of the fountain's arch is a date inscription 0.11 m in diameter. Enclosed in a circle by a fine outer molding, the inscription reads 'year 1211.' Worked into the stone using the relief-carving technique, this inscription indicates a construction date of AD 1796-97. In addition, just beneath the fountain arch, on a horizontal rectangle measuring 0.48 x 0.13 m and later painted black, is a prose inscription in Ottoman Turkish written in the celî sülüs script.
