Editor's Note
When it was in use, the mosque was where the people of the villages of Günbaşı, Gündolaması, Sallar, Yahyalar, Karaağaç and Musababa performed their Friday and holiday prayers, but it was abandoned after each village built its own mosque. The mosque's construction style, like that in Ozanlar village, indicates it was built in the 17th or 18th century. A plaque at the entrance to the mosque's prayer hall, inscribed with verse 36 of the Surah An-Nur, records that it was repaired in 1962.
