Editor's Note
It was commissioned in 1874 through a pious foundation by Bayram Ağazade Hafız Seyit Ahmet. The prayer hall (harem) of the rectangular mosque is divided into three sections by two rows of wooden posts. The wider central nave is covered by three rows of domes, while the other sections have a flat wooden ceiling. The women's gallery on the north is carried on wooden posts. Within the prayer hall, beneath the women's gallery, a cenotaph stands in an area enclosed by wooden railings. The walls, domes, mihrab and window edges of the mosque are decorated with hand-drawn (kalem işi) ornamentation. From the outside, the mosque is covered with a hipped roof.
