Editor's Note
According to the Bolu Provincial Yearbook (Salname), the building was commissioned by Demirtaş Paşazade Mehmet Bey. The structure, used for a time as a library, took the name Kadı Mosque because of the magistrate's court (kadılık) adjoining it. The mihrab section of the rectangular mosque projects outward on five sides. Built of cut stone, the mosque has a flat wooden ceiling. From the surviving traces it is understood that the mosque originally consisted of a dome-covered main space and a three-part portico (last congregation place). Its windows are rectangular, with stone jambs and iron grilles.
