Editor's Note
According to legend, this blessed man could even speak with and persuade the ants that were harming the area; he gathered the ants around him and lived alongside them. As he had requested, when this Turkmen saint who spent his life among the ants passed away, a tomb was built for him on that very rock, and the site in time became known as the 'Karıncalı Dede Tomb' (Tomb of the Ant Saint). The inscription on the tomb states that Karıncalı Dede (Abdullah Bin Yaşari) was one of the pupils of Hoca Ahmet Yesevi, 11.
